Call for Papers: Austrian Perl Workshops 2012

Vienna.pm is announcing the call for papers for the Austrian Perl Workshop 2012 which will be held from 16th to 17th November 2012 in the Metalab in Vienna. The deadline for submissions is October 20th.

The focus of the workshop will be the Perl ecosystem and “Modern Perl” in particular. Topics which are not directly related to Perl but still could be interesting to Perl, its users or the community are also welcome!

We are also planning a track for users of other programming languages who would like to get a taste of current, modern Perl - or for those who have last seen code from Matt’s Script Archive in the ’90s and suppose that Perl still looks like that.

To submit a talk abstract and for further details visit our web site. Please subscribe to the newsfeed to stay updated.

PS: The workshop will be free of charge for attendees. Which is yet another reason we're looking for sponsors. So if you're company is using Perl and you want to give back to the community, or if you're looking for Perl developers, please contact me (domm@plix.at) for information on sponsorship packages.
